About me

Hi, I’m Michael and I cannot wait to help you transform your business!

My day job: I'm a Realtor in Orange County, CA, serving home buyers and sellers all over Southern California. For years I've been the number #1 or #2 solo agent in the couple different offices at which I've hung my broker's license. Last year I was #1,091 out of 49,660 agents in my national brokerage.

Almost 8 years ago I wandered into a free training at my local association, discouraged and frustrated, just about ready to give up. But there I found a coach that taught me (1) to develop a repeatable program that yielded optimal results (2) strategies and tactics used by no one else in my market (3) how to communicate this system in a compelling way to potential clients - and to do it in such a way that they became utterly convinced that I was the only agent who could deliver to them what they needed.

Of course, I then had to deliver those optimal results over and over again. And I have.

After spending tens of thousands of dollars learning, my average commission rate has hovered right at 2.9% for the last 7+ years, I've never kicked in $1 for repairs or credits, and only closed 1 transaction during this entire time that didn't pay the exact amount written in the intial representation agreement. (This is a lesson-learned story for another time). And this is for both home buyers and sellers.

Haus Advantage Academy was founded on the desire to help other struggling agents to do the exact same thing.

Like most agents in real estate, my resume is a history of various entrepreneurial efforts. Right out of school in 1991, my first job was at a mortgage company and that arc ended 8 years later when I sold a little mortgage banking company I started to my partner - just before everyone, including him, got rich in the sub-prime marketplace.

After several other ventures didn't blossom as I'd dreamt, I answered a simple help wanted ad in the newspaper for a contractor who sold insulation door to door. I ended up starting my own company as a solopreneur, ultimately growing it to over 50 employees with multi-million dollar revenues and was the largest retrofit insulation company in the western US.

By far the biggest highlight of this was the sales team: I took 25 or so broke and inexperienced folks and turned them into sales machines. Watching them go from nothing to earning more than any of them ever had was by far the highlight of my career to that point.

Then the business was destroyed by the Great Recession. So back to the drawing board and here we are.

I happily live in coastal OC with my amazing wife and 3 of my 7 kids. I'm also a 5.4 index golfer but I KNOW I could be a scratch if I could just figure out that one little thing...
